The location couldn't be better, very close to one of the main squares (Monastiraki) where the metro from the airport stops, but far enough away for the hustle and bustle of the center not to be bothersome. A few meters away there is an endless choice of restaurants, shops and gift shops. From the hotel you can easily reach Plaka, Psyrri, all the archaeological sites that are worth visiting as well as the museums (the furthest away is the National Archaeological Museum). The service could not have been better, available to help with everything we asked, like the best way to get where we wanted to go, and always with great friendliness. Rooms are big, clean, tidy and have everything needed. We faced the inner courtyard so we didn't have any problems with noise, except from other guests who forget how to behave civilly in the corridors (it's not the hotel's responsibility to educate people). Breakfast is simple but what is available is good and for us more than enough (if you are expecting a wide variety of bread, fruit and other foods you should have gone to a 4 or 5 star hotel, don't demand a palace for the price of an apartment). You may have to wait for a table to have breakfast since the room is small, but if people don't stay for more than necessary to eat (there is a world of esplanades in the city, go there to talk and spend time) you will quickly sit down (no point in sulking or fussing, we are all on vacation, be decent and polite people and wait for your turn, the world does not revolve around you). It was an excellent surprise and when we return to Athens I hope to be able to return to the Adrian Hotel.

You can't beat the location of this hotel----you're literally at the foot of the Acropolis hill and a few footsteps away from Hadrian's Library, the Roman Forum, Monastiraki Market, and the Ermou shopping street. You are never too far away from the main Athens sights, and all key neighborhoods with the best restos, bars, and shopping. Because it was in a central touristy location, it also felt well lit and safe at any time of the day or night. We especially loved how close it was to Monastiraki, Psyrri, Ermou, and Aiolou streets, which have amazing restos. The room was small, but had enough space to store luggage. The bed was especially comfortable. The bathroom was rather small, but enough for our purpose. There were also two supermarkets just two blocks away from the hotel, which was useful. The breakfast selection was small but definitely enough, with warm and cold options. The staff was efficient and friendly as well.

The hotel is in a great location, there are tavernas and shop as soon as you walk out the door, and the high street is close by. The Acropolis is only a short walk away and can be seen from the hotel, unfortunately the rooftop terrace was not open but I there is a direct view from it while eaten. The room was small, but comfortable and well furnished, had a mini bar and coffee machine as well as a small balcony with street views, the bathroom was spotless and had a waterfall shower with great pressure. The breakfast was great, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, I will definitely stay again if I visit Athens again.

Great location within walking distance to the all delights of Athens. I have stayed at this hotel on my trips to Athens for the last 7 years. This time I took my friends from the uk on their 1st Trip to Athens and they loved the simplicity and integrity of the hotel, so they will be booking again for Greek Easter next year staff very accommodating, professional and friendly. Luggage store to store your luggage on your last day so you can go shopping and have a nice meal in the restaurants nearby before your flight home.

We were very comfortable during our 5 day stay. The staff at the front desk greeted us and check-in was smooth. In contrast to some reviews I read, I found every single member of the staff to be friendly, polite and helpful. I liked the location in the Plaka so we could walk to everything we wanted to see - never needed a taxi nor metro. Room was quiet and beds were comfortable. The hotel was much better than expected and also better than I expected based on some negative reviews in the past
